GORHAM BIKE AND SKI

I had free choice for the theme and design of this mural and decided on a colorful abstract piece inspired by the Maine landscape. On the left we have a misty ocean backed by geometric shapes, a reference to the buildings downtown. In the middle are small hills and other abstract elements to exist as a more populated space and above, textural lines in blues, whites, and yellows shine down like beams of sun breaking through clouds with blue sky behind. The right side offers the wilderness, open fields with yellow lines for wildflowers, and three pointed mountain peaks above.

This was such a fun project to work on- I loved getting to translate my studio work style to this scale, bringing in different textures and blending styles and crisp lines cutting through. This wall is a great example of how to incorporate abstract murals in a way that is still relevant to a particular business or interest.
